Shoe-shaped sculptures can be exhibited in diverse ways—on pedestals, the floor, or walls. Their tips act as symbols indicating direction, while at the same time they function as organic forms enveloped in undulating color and as “shoe-like” symbols. Shoes mediate between the human body and the ground, and simultaneously serve as organic symbols in their sculptural form.
